T&T: Cruising friendly vacuum cleaners

and love it.  They do not take up much room and the hose is long enough to
do the whole boat (52').

We have a dog, we have a boat, we have rugs on the boat. We need to add one
more element to make this a happy family, and that is a vacuum cleaner that
will actually take care of the dog hair in the rugs. We have the 15.6 volt
cordless Euro-Pro Shark with the rug attachment. It does a nice job, but it
runs out of battery before we run out of dog hair on the rugs. Besides, I
don't like vacuuming while on my knees.
What we'd really like is a very small, easily stored, corded vacuum cleaner
that really sucks.
Any suggestions?
