We are on our 4th year with those silly looking "toy" headsets. Our set
cost $19.99 for the pair. They've gotten knocked around, thrown in drawers,
and used for every docking and anchoring situation we've done over the last
18,000 miles. Last year we realized that we were so spoiled by using them
that we might not be able dock the boat without them! We probably should
have practiced without them but decided to do the next best thing - we
bought a second "spare" pair. That second pair is loaded with fresh
batteries and ready to take over at any time.

The only bad thing is that this new pair now costs about $50 for the pair.
We bought ours from:

I can't remember the name of the headsets - they're on the boat. Just tell
them that you want their "marriage saving headsets." They'll know exactly
what you mean.

I have no affiliation with these headsets although I wish I owned the
company that makes them.
