T&T: Kudos to EarTec, NOT!

Well, when I spent $300 on two EarTec full duplex radios to improve
communication on the boat, I assumed there would be some customer service to
justify the price. Imagine my surprise when I called the company today to
ask them to assist me with the repair or replacement of a headset that broke
after a very few number of uses. The tech said "it's a $25 headset, what do
you expect us to do?". I replied, well, it was a $300 purchase so I guess I
thought you would help me out, I can see I'm on my own. So, while we have
companies out there like Defender, charging great prices and delivering
superior service, we have companies like EarTec charging premium prices and
delivering lack luster support. My bad, next time I'll look a bit further
for options and you can bet your bottom dollar I won't be buying a
replacement head set from them.
