T&T: Best season to buy in Florida?

Certainly the hot summer months are slow business times in Florida. Houses
and boat sales slow down until November as a rule.

During the last year boat sales seems to have been slow. I have seen the
same boats for sale for more than a year. However things may be changing
now that the bottom fishers have been satisfied.

When we decided to sell our boat, we considered waiting til fall and avoid
the slow time. In the six weeks it has been listed we have averaged showing
the boat twice a week. A month of this time we were cruising in the Keys
and the lookers traveled to we were anchored and viewed by dinghy.

Half the viewers were from Florida and half were from out of state. All the
viewers planned a trip to view several boats that met their specifications.
Two of the viewers bought boats, so I guess that they were real.

In summary, I advise you to look for the right boat at the right price. You
have to look at a lot of boats before you will appreciate the right one when
you see it. When you find the right boat, closing can be scheduled to meet
your requirements.
