T&T: GE fluorescent bulb

Was reading on another website about the GE soft white fluorescent 75 watt 
bulb. It uses 20 watts of power, costs $8 and supposedly will last 8 years. 
Sounds like a bargain so I went out and bought one. It looks very nice, like 
an incandescent. I like it.

First thing my wife said was: can we put a dimmer on it?

Well, can we?
