THIS EMAIL IS FROM THE T&T ADMIN TEAM - PLEASE READ
PLEASE SNIP YOUR REPLY POSTS
In recent months, a number of active listees have been replying to posts
on the T&T list, and including the full text of the prior post in their
replies. The repeated text contributes nothing to the reply and makes it
unnecessarily lengthy. We have received complaints from members who
receive the list via slow sat phone or cell phone links, where this
unnecessary text costs them real money and time to download.
When replying to another post, only include the bare minimum text of the
last post (if any at all) to establish the context of your reply. Every
reply post requires some degree of snipping (i.e. editing out
unnecessary text). We want to read what you have to add to the
discussion, not a second copy of the prior post (which we've already
seen). At the very least, cut out the signature and text added by the
list software at the bottom of every to which you're replying. _Never_
include the full text of a daily digest!
