Where we boat on Lake Superior, in the middle of the summer the big lake
never gets up to 60 on open waters. Sheltered bays etc, actually get warm
enough to be swimmable. But the coasties don't wear mustange suits up
here in the summer. I know, we have been boarded by them on a number of
occasions.

PS: In a normal winter, everything here would be hard water -- solid ice.
This year, no ice anywhere on Superior, but no recreational boats are out
becasue ALL marinas are closed and most docks pulled etc.
