Antifreeze in the freshwater system. Antifreeze in the block. When docked,
small heater in the head and engine block heater on. Fuel tanks kept full
because it is cold filling them. When we are iced in, use prop to create
pressure waves under ice and beat the crap out of same to push the chunks out
of the way. Gradually make our way to open water behind tugs. Go scalloping.
Get back. Go to pub for antifreeze. Repeat till spring. No problem. Well,
except for 3 dead batteries that need replacing.

>>>A question about year round boating here in Maryland. It never really
gets
too cold here.... and for the rare times when Bay water freezes(haven't seen
it happen in years)... there are bubblers to prevent ice at the marina...
While my boat is hauled and winterized... How would one keep a boat ready to
go year round without having to winterize the engine after each use? I know
I see boats in use year round... I know we have January fishing
tournaments.... so how does one keep a boat in use year round?
Anyone have experience with this?
 Thanks,
Art<<<<
