To all:
I notice most of the posts on anchoring are from the other coast.....we in
the Pacific Northwest have so few good flat bottom anchorages, we normally
tie the blunt end of our trawler to a convenient tree after dropping anchor.
Sometimes we find nice iron rings set in the rock on shore, so do not have
to use a tree. It is still nice to have a depth alarm set.
