Well, not completely.
Unless there was a heading sensor integrated into the setup (not likely 10+
years ago) along with the ability to input where the GPS was physically
located with respect to the bow, it would still give a 2X distance to the
GPS error. On my boat this is 60' of error.
I know that it seems like it doesn't matter where the GPS is located when
you set the anchor alarm but if you draw it all out, you'll see that it
matters a lot.
