Mike and Wray,

Help me understand why it is a "problem" for the GPS to not be over the
anchor?  Seems to me that if you set the GPS anchor spot over the anchor and
then backed down paying out proper scope, that you would then trip the alarm
as you have moved somewhat away from the anchor.  Why not use the location
where the boat comes to rest after anchoring?

I have been using the GPS anchor alarm for over 10 years. Since about the
time that Garmin started putting the alarm in their GPS's.
