hmmmm, on the back of my envelope:

10,000 half foots per mile (6 inches = half foot, 5280 feet = mile).

10,000 gallons per mile.

Does QE2 move at 20kts?

If so, 200,000 gallons of diesel per hour.

100 hours to cross the Atlantic.

20,000,000 gallons to cross the Atlantic.

3,000 passengers.

6,666 gallons per passenger to cross the Atlantic.

I don't believe it.
