T&T: 50 Amp power cord

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Waterways. I made my own 50 amp cord for my MIG
welder. Simply went to the local electric supply store (where the
contractors go) and bought 100 ft of wire cable and the necessary male and
female ends. Attach to each end and voila, one heavy duty extension cord. I
think the entire thing cost me about $150. Not being electrical minded I
had to tell the guy at the counter what I wanted to do with it and relied
on his experience for the proper thickness (gauge) of wire and ends.
