T&T: Hydraulic vs Electronic Engine Controls

My only advice would be to make sure the power source as well as any related switches to electronic controls are well guarded.  I have been on a boat with kids that were running around....The DC panel door had been left open and as a child ran past it, his shoulder brushed up against the panel turning off the engine controls.  Luckily they were in neutral backing out of the slip and the slip behind us was empty....pure luck!
