T&T: Aere fenders

We are also huge fans of the Aere inflatable fenders - we have some in a "normal" size (HTM-4 equivalent) for everyday use and a pair of 18x42" fenders for storms and rafting. Regarding the comments about the fenders kicking away from a piling - Praktek makes a "girdle" for their fenders to force them into a half-hourglass shape to hold them nicely against pilings. The girdle is a full-length tube of hypalon with some thick rubbery substance on the vee-shaped (piling) side, and some velcro strips that hold a nice thick, soft pad on the flat (hull) side. We've been using one of our Big Boys with the girdle to keep us off the dock in the strong NW winter winds, and it's been fabulous. The fender has never kicked out of position, and we're glad to have the extra clearance. Not cheap, but extremely well designed and constructed - another quality product from Praktek.

No connection - just a happy customer.
