I am a member of many lists...from Telescopes to Salt Water Aquariums.
This is an issue on ALL of the lists. Its actually the beauty of this
new method of communication, that everyone is able to ask questions and
receive comments form all over the world. We are now truly connected.
With that, it now comes down to your method of sifting through this new
medium. Its your responsibility, not the senders. As long as the
postings are somewhat relevant to the topic, they belong. As a previous
poster explained, there is an enormous amount of information relevant to
boating. Boats are comprised of complicated systems that span thousands
of topics.

A possible solution is to sift through the topic headings and delete the
ones that do not interest you. Simply posting a message requesting
people not to take part in this list is short sighted.
