T&T: A practical use for Videos

I could set up a group, call it the "trouble shooting" group. Suppose
you have a problem on the boat that can be explained better with a
video. You make up a short clip and upload it to the trouble shooting
group. Then others can come around and see what the heck you are trying
to explain. Now, I know that exchange of still pictures has been done in
the past, off line. But, this is another way of tackling the problem.
In any event it could be experimented with. If someone wants to try this
out. Let me know and I will set it up.
Frankly most any subject that would be considerably enhanced by being
presented in video is a good candidate. The trouble shooting thing is
just one example.
You're right, that this requires the video camera and some experience to
do the upload. But, quick and dirty stuff would not even need to be
edited before uploading.
It is obvious from what little experimenting I have done and the amount
of positive feedback that video and text forums are on the verge of big
changes. Question, how do we leverage all this to provide a better
experience for text forum participants?
