T&T: Gauge tick.

Do you get the same effect in reverse when only the upper helm is
turned on?

I suggest that you need a connection from the switched output from the
lower helm switch to the switched output from the upper helm switch -
this way both sets of instruments will be powered, regardless of which
switch is on.
