T&T: Wireless intercom headsets

Call David, the parts guy, at Washburn's Boat Yard in Somons, MD (410-326-6701), and ask him to send you a pair of the Chinese headsets he stocks. For around $70, these do an excellent job--no press-to-talk key so the mikes are always open meaning you have two hands for whatever you need to do. I have two pairs of these headsets onboard, the second pair waiting for the first pair to wear out--we've had 'em about 10 years now and they're still working. Wearing them does make us look like dorks but we use 'em anyway--who cares about looking like a dork anyway? You look a LOT more like a dork if you can't dock your boat because your crew doesn't know when to get a spring line on the pier.

I'm having a hard time finding a source for a set of wireless intercom
headsets. You know the kind - the ones that replace having to shout
when you are docking etc.

I'd appreciate any guidance you can give from your experience.
