  With several good manufacturers of these things on the
market I cannot think of any reason why anyone would want to screw
around with a finite-life, leak-prone, pain-in-the-butt inflatable
anymore.

I couldn't agree more I don't like any boat you have to blow up. I to have 
had lots of bad experiences so I switched to a Boss. A year later I switched 
back to a RIB I have back trouble and the harder ride from the Boss was just 
killing me.
