T&T: Rigid dink vs Hard bottom Caribe

Jim

The Rigid Boats look almost exactly like the Boss Boats. I have a 10 foot Boss
with a 25hp yamaha 4 stroke and I do like the boat. It is quite a bit rougher
than the rigid hull inflatable's and it is heavy. The boat weighs 200 pounds
plus the engine, mine totals about 400 pounds.
It seems pretty well built, I use it all the time and have put quite a few
miles on it, about 100 hours on the engine in the last year. I figured out
that the cheap plastic plug leaks and after replacing that the storage stays
dry. The boat had enough storage space for a group 27 battery which runs
lights, stereo, tilt/trim and the electric start on the motor. The main
disadvantages to me after having an inflatable are weight and the rougher
ride, you would be amazed how much difference a little cushion makes from the
air inflatable's. If I was going to do it again I would seriously consider the
new aluminum hull inflatable's.
