T&T: MS Vista, A marine PC train wreck?

Good morning,

One issue for the marine enviroment is that VISTA needs an internet 
connection to validate the installation.

There are also reports surfacing on the message boards, that if VISTA loses 
connectivity to the Net, it will start to shutdown after a period of time.

Personally I have no need with XP being supported till 2014 to switch, but 
if I do it will be after the inevitable service pack 1 release.
