T&T: [sigh] west marine

Marin & All,

If I'm anywhere near Annapolis, I'll shop at Fawcetts.  Now, that's one fine
marine store with knowledgeable help, most of whom are cruisers.  There were a
few times last summer when we got in the car and drove the 50 miles from
Solomon's just to browse Fawcetts and then have lunch.  Invariably, we bought
something at Fawcetts...sometimes it was something we needed!
Once again we have bashed WM into a pulp.  I suppose that's never going to
change.  Personally, I don't have a gripe with their pricing.  Since I get a
gift certificate back from them equal to a 5% discount,  I do some quick math
in my head.  If I'm happy with the price, I buy from them.  If I don't like
the price, I tell them "Thank You very much but you are too expensive"  and
buy elsewhere.  Its pretty simple.  Just remember, the marketplace will sort
itself out.  Its a jungle out there and the weak DO NOT survive!
