I guess its a sign of winter with everyone stuck ashore

Whoa, we are not all stuck to shore. Lots of us are in the south, the 'Chateau
de Mer' is anchored tonight at Tarpon Basin just off Key Largo.

To add some comments on the Super Max, I love it. It works very well. We had
one on our 41 Hershine and put one on our 48 Hatt MY. We use all 3/8HT chain
and would not go back to a combo rode.

Some tips: It is harder to get a set in grass than with a pointy anchor. That
simply makes sense. In sand. one has to allow time to let it get a deep set.
If you drop it and start to back down, you will not get it down deep. You get
a furrow. Finally, mark your rode so you know when the anchor reaches bottom.
When it does, back slowly just a few feet so you don't tangle the rode in the
anchor. Follow that and you will be very happy.
