T&T: Anchors-Anchoring

I am very interested in this topic and would appreciate more opinions
on it.  We currently have a Danforth type anchor with 6' of chain and
300' of 5/8" twisted nylon.  I've never had problems with it setting
and holding, but...

We are planning to move into the Caribbean in the next month or so and
it was recommended to me that I move to about 50' of chain and then the
twisted nylon.  I know that it would protect against the coral better,
but am I going to have trouble setting the anchor?
