T&T: Holding tank chemicals

 Baking soda.
 As long as you try to use the natural bacterial 
degradation of the waste, unless you get a LOT of 
air through the holding tank, there is NOTHING 
that does anything better than baking soda.
 I use about a tablespoon per flush.
 After I pump out the tank I pour in a half gallon 
of white vinegar and refill the tank the rest of 
the way with water (my tank only holds 8.5 
gallons). I let it stand for at least 2 hours and 
then pump it out again.
 Tank is clean and fresh.
 Add a little water and 4 tablespoons of baking 
soda before your first use.

 Head stays odor free this way.

 Just my $0.02 worth.
