T&T: Converting my Running/Anchor Lights to LED...can it be done cheaply?

To my question:

I got a valid argument offline stating the LED's were more reliable and
longer lasting.
Well this is the T&T list, not the PUP (Passagemaking Under Power) list.
Most of will not do overnight runs, nor push the daylight hours to get to
the next marina or anchorage. I suspect in one year's time of full time
cruising, the nav lights might get 40 hours of usage, max.
Nav lights may never burn out in the lifetime of the trawler. If one does, a
properly stocked boat will have a spare.
