Home Depot and Lowes have plenty of 12v. small halogen lights, usually in a
two prong plug in style, and often with a built in reflector. These come in 10,
20, and 40 watt capacity. The are intended for under counter or small area
lighting. The cost ranges from $2 to $5 each. They are frequently used in fiber
optic Christmas displays. IKEA also sells sets of these lamps.
As for 12v. screw in type fluorescents, you would have to go to a RV store or
a web site that specializes in off grid power such as Backwoods Solar. They
run about $10 to $15 each.
