T&T: Florida Sojourners Registartion

I have a documented boat and I am an Ohio resident.  For several 
years I have maintained a Florida sojourners registration.  I 
initially got the registration at the Monroe County tax office in 
Marathon.  The only documentation they wanted to see was my 
documentation certificate.They checked the certificate to verify that 
the address on it was not Florida.  They did not care where I bought 
the boat or when or how much I paid for it or what taxes I had paid on it.

I was given a decal that is identical to what FL registered boats 
have except where a FL boat has its registration numbers on the decal 
mine has my official number.  I display the decal in the lower corner 
of my windshield on the port side.

Each year I get an email informing me it is time to renew.  The fee 
is about $80 and I belive it is based on length.
