T&T: Anchor Shackle

In all my years I have never hauled an anchor line or all chain rode and found
it twisted enough to warrant a swivel, hence I never both with one. Maybe I
could see one on a swift running river mooring where the current reverses
twice daily and runs like the dickens. Even a hurricane normally shifts wind
direction only when passing so I can't justify a swivel so far. When I
retrieve an anchor after weeks at anchor on occasion I have noted the anchor
unwinds during retrieval...good enough for my needs.... Rob Brueckner1972
