There have been numerous posts about rigid plumbing and the pros and cons.

I have several questions? The standard recommendation seams to be SCH 80

PVC. Has anyone used standard ABS pipe. This pipe has been used in motor

homes for years and I just got through restoring a 1973 GMC that used ABS

I have done a lot of previous plumbing as a 30yr licensed contractor

First most building codes stipulate that joining of dissimilar material is
prohibited IE ABS & PVC. And if you want to glue abs and pvc you need
transition glue

Sch 40 pvc small socket in DWV ftgs Sch40 ftgs pressure have 1-1/4 socket
like Sch80 pvc which will take more hot water and abuse , both pvc will do
well in a fire. A lot of choices different in a boat I worry about damage
from movement and do like pvc flex pipe with double clamp and pvc fittings
on my boat for sanitation and Drain. For awesome Clamps check out the awab
smooth clamps easy on all hose,no more damage from the clamp.

I re did my system with whale water systems 15mm pipe and distribution block
awesome system and easy to use fittings, ftgs are cast as one piece very
strong,hi-pressure,and sure connect that's easy, the system, very organized
and neat. A lot of big name boat mfgrs are using this system no regrets
after a couple of years so far
