Hi Mike,

All that is well and good, but that SOLAS guidance specifically applies to
ships with a SOLAS certificate on an international voyage - and that sure
does not include any of the recreational boats on this list. Heck, most of
our list members probably haven't ever seen of a SOLAS certificate!

Let's not invent 'requirements' for member's boats when no such requirements
exist. Yes, logs are good to have, but they sure are not a requirement on
recreational boats.
