Our experience over five years has been as good as Rich's with one difference.
The cheap fluorescent lights on our boat had beautiful teak trim rings. So I
sent the dead light fixtures to Alpenglow who rebuilt them with their bulb and
ballast and a much better lens cover. The light over the helm now has high and
low red for night use as well as white.
