T&T: 12V florescent lights

On my boat (regrettably) all the forward lights are on one long set of wires 
with complete breaks at each light. If any butt connector or similar device 
comes loose, all the lights on that part of the chain go out. Maybe the same 
dope wired your boat. Think old Christmas tree lights.
