T&T: cummins 504 Valve cover gasket

it's a valve cover gasket.  make it yourself . . . why do so many folks have
to have the exact part  and nothing else can take it's place.  for forty
years i've been traveling long distances on boats and making do when things
break.  i guess this has become a lost art.
