I have owned several--they should be good for at least 10,000 hours. One I
pruchased was torn down when I bought the boat. It had been in charter
service in the Caribbean for at least 4 years. The engine had over 4,000
hours on it, and it spec't out at origional specs. For good measure we put in
new bearings and seals and it has another 6,000 hours on it and is running
perfectly.

I ran them from 1300 to 1800 RPM, they red line at 2400 to 2600 depending on
configuration.

Agree withe Delo or Rotella for oil 10/40 or 30 wt.

Parts: Trans Atlantic Diesel will usually any parts you need. In Pensacola,
Bell Marine often has any Perkin's parts you need. Maxiforce in Miami has
parts. Foley Engines in Ma, Perkins Power Corp in Orange Park, FL.

These are for starters...
