T&T: sea stainers

This used to happen to me... I think it's a venturi effect and the water is 
actually getting sucked out of the strainer / pump line when the boat is 
going through the water. I installed a check valve at the through hull 
before the hose nipple, and it hasn't happened since. Bronze hex pipe nipple 
of course. Hard to find (I can only find on the internet) but don't use 
brass!
