I have told this story before, but in the context of the thread very apropos! On the way to the Chesapeake from West Palm Beach we entered Kings Bay north of Fernandina Beach and promptly lost all GPS! It took a while but reading the paper chart I realized that we were on top of the "degaussing" range for the submarines! Hans
