T&T: ADDING AMP METERS

All,
I have an Ocean Alex. that has never had amp meters and I would like to know
what is involved and the best way to install them.
When y'all talk about the current that is charging your batteries, etc, etc, I
have no idea what my alternators are putting out. I do know that the original
owner put in very large alternators.

Can you offer some guidance on installation, best meters, easist approach
etc??
