T&T: Hurricane "safe "marinas Ft Myers/Tampa area ?

Not sure if you have received responses offline but I might offer that if the vessel in question is not already IN a marina, you would be fortunate to get one on such short notice. My marina for example has a waiting list of 5 people for slips over 35'. We had about that many change over last year. When I checked this time last year, there was a waiting list at EVERY marina.

That said, there are quite a number of "safer" (not safe) marinas. Mine is not exposed to wind waves but tides and surge might take their toll. I am located 2 miles from the gulf on Boca Ciega Bay.
