T&T: Dock line elasticity

The key to this is having a dock line with any elasticity at all. I was
aboard a friend's sailboat one afternoon. We were cruising together and he
had rigged a Dacron double braid as a dockline. The boat would come up short
on that line and jerk abruptly with every passing wake. It was very annoying.
We re-rigged with the same sized nylon double braid and the change was huge.
The lesson was that 5% elasticity is WAY better than no elasticity at all.
