T&T: Question on KR-1 Wireless Router and new Verizon Air Card

Last week I traded in my not-ready-for-Vista O/S Verizon 5740 air card for the
new 5750 card.  No charge for the trade and the new card has an adjustable
(sort of) antenna and external antenna connection.  I believe that the new
card has a more sensitive front end because it seldom loses signal, while the
old one did frequently.

The problem arises in that I bought a KR-1 wireless router to use with the
card and two laptops simultaneously.  I began the router setup only to find
that the new card and the KR-1 are apparently not compatable.

Has anyone had a similar problem with compatability of the KR-1 and the new
Vista-friendly (5750) air card?  If so, has anyone found a 'patch' or fix?

Has the KR-1 worked with the Verizon 5740 air card (the non-Vista card) for
others; I thought that I had read that it does.

Experience and suggestions appreciated.
