T&T: New washer / dryer

I did a lot of research when we replaced our washer and dryer a three of
four years ago.

I too needed a 24x24 (actually a smidgen less to get through the hatch) form
factor.

I choose a pair manufactured (labeled) Danby.
(Google Danby - see the A.J Madison site among others).
The local appliance store in Slidell, LA ordered then for us.
When I called Danby about an installation problem they asked if I ordered
through Home Depot so they may be available there.

220v vented Dryer $459
110v Washer       $539

They stack and work well. We have used them regularily over the last 3
years.

I intend to look at the step/down transformers as suggested by Joel Leslie
<jleslie@ieee.org> for those times when I don't want to run the gen and 220
shore power is not availiable.
