T&T: Bio diesel

Power & Motoryacht just ran an article (October 2006 issue) testing Biodiesel vs. Diesel. The performance results were identical. The issues they outlined were a shorter shelf life for Bio and the tendency to break down rubber fuel hoses and gaskets on older engines.

No mention of any tank problems but this was a short term test.

Bio diesel or diesel in ethanol in old fiberglass tanks is no problem.

But ethanol in gasoline in old fiberglass tanks is a big problem
potentially.

I read a great article on it somewhere, but cannot remember where.
