T&T: Recommendations for cruising the Chesapeake?

Jeff:

Three ideas;
1. Stop in Annapolis and pick up a mooring buoy right off the Naval
Academy and downtown. $25/night. Great old town, water taxi, great
restaurants, Very fit young men and women walking around town in their
whites and ram rod straight, etc.
2. On the eastern side, don't miss St. Michael's. St. Michael's Inn
and Spa has nice docks and willing dock boys/girls to catch lines, and 3
star restaurant, don't remember the cost/ft, but reasonable. Cute town,
antique shops galore and also great restaurants. Up scale, Donald
Rumsfeld has a place in town and there is a Lord Ashley resort just east
of downtown. Don't miss the Maritime Museum.
3. Baltimore, any marina near the fells point area, Inner Harbor East
is one I would recommend. Check guide book. Water taxis so you can get
around the harbor, great restaurants etc. Baltimore has become
revitalized, stop at Bertha's for mussels and pick up a free bumper
sticker "Eat Bertha's Mussels". These bumper stickers are great trade
goods. I traded one for a sticker that read "When you're walking on
thin ice, you might as well dance!" Came from a bar in Aspen Colorado.
