T&T: Direct TV

Actually Boat U S did lobby for the satellite TV for boats.  This has been
going on for years and has been opposed by the lobby of the National
Association of Broadcasters, who fear loss of local advertising income.  It
makes no sense.  We own a Direct TV reciever, and antenna, but don't use
them....

But we have always found enough TV with local on the air stations, if we were
in the area of a large city.  If not in todays world we listen to Sirius, one
of the radio stations, including BBC, VOA, Voice of Cuba etc....or failing
that, look out the window for the weather, turn on the weather fax, listen to
the radio and read a book!
