T&T: Anchor Chain Recommendation

The "Practical Sailor" review was on *mooring* chain and ACCO was the best.
Your windlass has a chain gypsy which will only fit one size of chain.
That's the size you buy. You want high tensile (HT) chain or regular chain.
You do not want proof coil chain. Of course, hot-dipped galvanized. I do
recommend ACCO, if you are on the East Coast as shipping costs can be
significant. Check out stores that cater to commercial fishermen where you
might be able to save on chain if they have your size.

| Bob,
|
| I also have the Lighthouse 1501 and have had no troubles with it in quite
a
| bit of use. The factory guys were eager to help also (the one time I
called
| them).
|
| I forgot where I got my chain but I believe it was ACCO high tensile
chain.
| There is a report on chain in this or last month's issue of Practical
| Sailor.
