Bob, I also have the Lighthouse 1501 and have had no troubles with it in quite a bit of use. The factory guys were eager to help also (the one time I called them). I forgot where I got my chain but I believe it was ACCO high tensile chain. There is a report on chain in this or last month's issue of Practical Sailor. Bill
