T&T: A new WiFi product...

Jeff, very interesting looking product. There are two things that puzzle me about the product.
I'm not sure why the radio was only designed to the 802.11b spec and not the 802.11g spec. I might assume that it was designed to the lower frequency lower throughput spec as it's probably more effective over distance.
The other thing that seems puzzling is that the USB connector is at the base of the antenna, which seems to me would only support mounting directly to a roof top or other location with direct access to an interior space.
It does look good enough for me to give it a second look. It may be part of my fall projects.

Panbo is showing a nice, new WiFi antenna that seems like the perfect
solution for a boat. I'd like it to have a slightly larger antenna gain but
because there are no analog cable requirements it will have excellent
low-noise qualities. They basically bundled the WiFi modem into the antenna
and provide a USB output.
