T&T: Stupid Filter Question

This is a real newbe question, but here goes.  I've never changed the 
fuel filters or seen it done.  It has been done as part of the 
winterizing drill, but it wasn't me that did it.

When changing the fuel filter in the 900 Racors mounted upstream of the 
engine lift pump, is there anything I need to look out for?

Does the filter have to be refiled with diesel?  Do the filters on the 
engine have to be bled? Etc.

Thanks for any advice.  Please respond back channel so we don't clog up 
the list with advice no one else needs.
